Although the NSL 2010 Veterans' Div II's results are already known (SAFRA are champions and UCSC 2nd), UCSC's 'old boys' didn't let up in their enthusiasm to maintain a winning streak. With the result academic, it was still a bunch of buzzing UCSC-sians who battled the 2010 Champions, SAFRA, as a precursor to the Championship Challenge 'Final' to be held on Sat 22nd May.

It didn't appear that SAFRA was taking things easy either, eager to prove they were deserving champions. Kudos to our lads who came through to win by the skin of their long teeth .... a mere 6 points' surperior count. John Lee was reported to have played a magnificent match to win 3-1 while Dave Sandersen sauntered to a comfortable 3-0 victory. Our other two 'boys', John Lim and Lau Chee Lok, contributed valuable points to the overall victory to set up a tantalising return match at Kallang this coming weekend.
