It is noted that many beginners are passionate about squash but find it hard to assimilate themselves into squash groups that are filled with advance players.

Here are relevant tips that can be found on you-tube for you to start praticising by yourself or a fellow friend of your level.

SSRA to nominate Kang for Sportsboy of the Year 2009 PDF Print

SSRA has decided to nominate U19 standout Samuel Kang for the Sportsboy of the Year award 2009, awarded annually by the Singapore Sports Council to the most outstanding boy athlete in Singapore (aged under 19), based on national and international achievements. Your voices will make a marked difference in the award decision process, but do remember to write in by 2nd Feb 2010. Nominations for other players are also welcome, but will be reviewed separately and are not guaranteed to be endorsed by SSRA.

UCSC-sians feature in Inter-Con Squash Tournament PDF Print

Once again, UCSC-sians made an impression in the local squash scene .... This time in the 2009 Inter-Constituency Squash event.

Eventual champions of the 2009 event featured 4 UCSC members while the 1st Runners-Up featured 2 UCSC-sians with 2nd Runners-Up featuring also 2 UCSC-sians. Guess the moral of the story is.....
"You need more UCSC-sians if you aim to win" because

"UCSC Lives & Breathes Squash".

Champions: Bukit Gombak (with Dave PHUA, Hansel PHUA, Shawn TAN and Benedict CHAN

1st Runners-Up: Thomson (with Eddie OH and Anelia TAN)

2nd Runners-Up: Bukit Timah (with Bobby PANG and Michael CHEE)

Once again, the "Skang" has left his 'scent' on the international junior circuit, this time in the recently concluded Canadian Junior Open 2009.

On Monday 14th December, 2009 in Montreal (Canada), Samuel KANG lost 0-3 to Canada's top-seeded, Andrew SCHNELL in the Boys' U-19 event.

UCSC honorary member, Kashif Shuja, won his first PSA World Tour title in Europe by beating Scotland's Alan Clyne in the VX-Power Spanish Open 2009.
